The Aero Club was founded in order to open in the Aosta Valley region the first flying school for sporting pleasure.
With the support of the Mont Emilius Mountain Community, and more specifically with the support of its President, Andrea Rosset, and the two Majors Giuseppe Cerise and Mario Grange on November 10, 2006, the first flying camp in the Aosta valley was born. It is located in Chatelair, between Nus and Fenis, right in the center of the Region, so that all region dwellers are able to participate to the sporting activities of flying with the ultra light.
The sporting pleasure school is divided in three sectors:
- the first forms the pilots who want to pass the flying certificate
- the second will offer certificate of the second period to specialize in mountain flying and landing on inclined air surfaces with a wheeled plane
- by enrolling in the third specializing course with landings on glaciers the pilot will get the certificate of “Pilote des glaciers” with a plane equipped with skis.
